The inlaid drawing is finished and enriched in every details with the technique of retouch or “ricaccio”. In this way the artist creates the lines that were on the original drawing and, by Indian ink and watercolors they give three-dimensionality to the drawing. The little lines were born from the skill and they underline softness, bulges, intersections; also they identify faces, landscapes, still life…this final touch gives to the inlaid wood the details and the volumes to exalt the work.
